This Has To Be The Easiest Way To Earn 1,000 Bonus AVIOS

How to earn an easy 1,000 bonus AVIOS

All you need to do is shop with an AVIOS partner you have not previously used to earn 1,000 bonus AVIOS. You have until the 21st November to benefit and can only earn the bonus AVIOS once. Simples, hey?

Gosh, what more incentive do you need to spend? Let’s face it, even if you are not a spendaholic, Christmas is around the corner so there has to be something you can buy to bag the bonus points.

How does this work?

The good news is that a new partner is simply described as one with whom you have not earned points since 3rd October 2015. You can therefore fuel up at Shell and earn the bonus, providing the last time you filled up was pre that date. You may also become a millionaire in the process.

To earn, you have a number of options depending on whether you are a member of the AVIOS club or British Airways Executive Club. Obviously, if you are a member of both, you can take your pick.

AVIOS options

You can earn from Tesco, Lloyds bank credit cards, Shell, and the AVIOS E-store.

British Airways Executive Club options

You can earn from flights, partner airlines, American Express, and Gate 365.

What sucks?

If you have made a purchase since October 2015 in Gate 365 or the AVIOS E-store, you will not qualify. Even if you bought from Debenhams before and now make a purchase from House of Fraser. No cigar!

All stores count as one partner so this may limit your chances of earning if you use the E-store regularly.

You also will not qualify for the bonus with these partners.

Find out how I earned 130,000 airmiles in my half year AVIOS update

AVIOS half year update 2017 Well it’s time to share the results of my hard work …

  1. Thank you for the very informative article! Eventhough I’m not aware of AVIOS, I’m going to check it out. Maybe I can earn them too. 🙂

  2. I still have a ton of Avios points that I need to use! I used to use them often when I was traveling around Asia, but unfortunately after their points system changed I haven’t had an opportunity that was worth using them right now.

  3. I don’t live in the UK and have no plans on living there. Which alliance is British Airways a part of? Could I earn Avios points with a partner airlines’ reward program? This is probably a no but, hey, you never know. An extra 1,000 points is all good.

  4. This may be a stupid question, but what are avios? I’m guessing they’re credit card points, but I don’t see anywhere where you mention which card. Great tips, though – and 1,000 extra points is a nice bonus!

  5. Earning credit card rewards can be pretty tricky! Thanks for the warning on what does and doesn’t count.
