Introducing the #From Miles To Smiles 90-Day Challenge

The Travel The Globe 4 Less 90 day challenge kicks off on the 1st June and will teach people how to fly business for less than economy by becoming an expert travel hacker.

Don’t worry this isn’t illegal. It’s the legitimate use of hotel and airline loyalty programs to travel for free, or at least save a fortune off the normal price, otherwise known as travelhacking.

How much can you save?

Take for instance, flights to Montreal in business which would have cost over £6,000 had I paid for them. Instead I paid just £1,048. Or flights to Mumbai in business which cost just £1,205.82 instead of the advertised price of £4,783.18. Whilst these are certainly not free flights, who wouldn’t prefer to fly in business class if it costs less than economy?

A cunning plan indeed

Admittedly travel hacking takes time and effort but this 12-week challenge will provide readers with all the tips and tricks to earn bonus points and be flying business in no time. It’s entirely free and includes access to infographics, checklists and guidance galore to help you become an expert travel hacker. There will also be a series of Twitter chats along the way so you can ask any questions, or share your success.

The challenge is suitable for anyone who travels long haul once a year and has sufficient income to be able to spend £10,000 on credit cards in a year. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a frequent flyer to earn flyer miles. You don’t need to travel on business (although it helps!), you just simply need to be willing to make a few changes to the way you currently shop.

For our transatlantic friends

An added bonus is that I am running the challenge in conjunction with Jackie of  The Globetrotting Teacher. You may remember her from my #TravelHackThursday challenge. She focusses on US travel hacking and in the interests of bringing you as meaningful a challenge as possible, we have partnered up so we really have got both sides of the Atlantic covered. Jackie will be providing US readers with lots of tips with me picking up the UK are detail. We are incredibly excited about kicking off the challenge.
