Discover Three More Novel Ways To Earn More AVIOS

There seems to have been a spate of announcements recently for new ways to earn more AVIOS so here is quick round up of three options for you to consider.

Three new ways to earn more AVIOS

Nutmeg Individual Savings Account

The first rewards an ISA application with Nutmeg with up to 10,000 AVIOS depending on the amount invested. As tempting as it may be to reach for the cheque book, please bear in mind that this is a stocks and shares ISA and thus carries some risk. Ideally you should take financial advice from a qualified adviser like my hubbie here or should ensure you understand the risks inherent in this type of investment.

Aer Lingus

For those of you who don’t know, IAG recently purchased Aer Lingus meaning you can now earn AVIOS on this shamrock sweetheart. You can earn a minimum of 100 points on all flights and full earnings details can be found here.

Pizza paradise

Since when has your pizza helped you to earn AVIOS? Since AVIOS partnered with Pizza Express of course. All you need to do is download the BINK app (a good option for allowing you to store all your loyalty card details).

You will then need to link your payment card and Avios account. After that you can earn up to 6 Avios for every £1 spent. You will need to pay using your linked payment card to collect 3 Avios per £1 on spend on Friday or Saturday. If you visit Sunday to Thursday you will earn 6 Avios per £1.

My advice? Go mid-week of course and treat the kids! Those points from pizza might find you getting off to Italy for the real deal!

Have you been BINKED yet?

I haven’t explored BINK yet so would love to know if any of you guys have any experience with it. Please feel free to comment below. If you come across any other new ways to earn feel free to share those too.

  1. I used to collect Avios until they slashed the amount you could earn a couple of years ago. They also raised the amount of Avios needed for free flights/upgrades which sucked. I don’t bother now knowing how little I get from each flight. I would consider collecting a big bulk of Avios from an investment but only if I was getting an ISA anyway. Good to know there are other options

    • It’s definitely not as old value as it used to be but I use my points to fly business For less than economy and on that basis I save a fortune. I saved thousands and business class flights to Japan, Canada and India using them in this way but I keep looking at options with other airlines and always come back to AVIOS as it simply is the easiest to collect points with in the Uk

  2. I never knew Avios existed! I really wish New Zealand had better airline rewards programmes similar to this one!

  3. AVIOS is totally new to me. Great to read this informative post about it.
I will look out if I can earn some points.

  4. I didn’t know about Avios until I read this post, so thanks for letting me know. And as a big fan of pizza, I think it’s great that you can earn so many points just buy eating what you love! lol

  5. I haven’t started to really amass Avios yet, but we definitely will be as we’ll be using that airline a lot more now. If you really pay attention, there are seemingly endless ways to gather points. It’s great.

  6. Great ways to earn AVIOS points, I have never heard of AVOIS and still not quite how this travel rewards works but I will be looking into that to see how it can benefit us. Thanks so much for sharing.

  7. I’m not sure what Avios are? Maybe an airline miles program? There’s usually a lot of ways to earn miles even when you aren’t flying and it’s definitely the people that dig in to all those ways that get the awesome upgrades, status and free flights.

    • That is correct. They are the currency for the British Airways and Iberia programme. The best option for people in the UK although I am starting to weary of British Airways and their cuts on services not to mention their inability to control their staff.

  8. This one is very helpful! I didn’t know AVIOS offer this kind of services. Cheers1 xx

  9. I am way too lazy about earning Avios. Interesting about Aer Lingus – I’ll definitely check that one out.

  10. I have a bunch of avios that I collect mainly from BA and my credit card with Lloyds. Great to find new ways to earn even more! Going to look into nutmeg.

    Thanks for the tips.
